A swift update of rehearsals, and even a little performance! – from now until Christmas.
We have been asked, as a choir, to lead some singing at the Christmas Community Cafe at Wyverstone Village Hall, on Saturday 17th December 2016. The Cafe runs from 10am to 12:30(ish), we will provide four carols, and finally perform the Christmas Medley (which I earlier asked you to return!).
This is an ideal opportunity to show what we can do – I will have some flyers on the tables telling people about the choir and rehearsal dates for 2017.
Copies of the Christmas Medley will be available at the next rehearsal, and clearly this piece will be our principal focus for 22nd Nov, 29th Nov and 6th Dec rehearsals.
For the 13th Dec we agreed to have a social evening – the plan is to meet up at the ‘Trowell and Hammer’ in Cotton (at our usual rehearsal time of 7:30pm).
I was thinking it may even be a good idea to take our Christmas Medley music to the pub, and perhaps give an impromptu rendition of it to the unsuspecting drinkers! – what do you think?
Finally – I need each member of the choir to email me as to if you are able (or not) to sing at the Community Cafe on the 17th December.
